Digital Placebo publishes literary work for readers. These terms cover this website and, where applicable, access to our invitation-only reading room. They do not create a publishing agreement with an author or a right to redistribute a book.
Read, don't reproduce
You may browse public pages and read material made available to you for personal, lawful, noncommercial purposes. Text, illustrations and edition design remain protected by their respective rights holders. Public access is not a general license to reproduce, scrape, resell, train on, or distribute a work.
Private invitations
A private invitation grants limited access to its intended recipient during its stated window and opening limit. Do not publish or pass along access credentials, evade controls, or interfere with other readers. We may revoke access to protect the work or the service.
Your annotations
Your own comments remain yours. Returning notes is voluntary and gives the publisher permission to read and consider them as editorial feedback, not ownership of your independent writing or permission to publish them without further agreement.
Service and links
We aim for a dependable reading experience, but availability may vary. Websites or retailers reached through external links have their own terms; Digital Placebo does not control those services.
Scope
Purchases, author accounts, paid Studio subscriptions, and physical/audiobook editions are not offered under these terms unless a separate, current offer and its applicable terms are presented.
